Seeds for Growth:

Our Spring workshops series enabled women the chance to connect with themselves, to nature and to others.

Co-created with participants and facilitated by Jen McLardy, this holistic and supportive program nurtured the body, mind, and soul with a mix of Pilates, nutrition, journaling, dance, creativity, and meditation.

Held weekly at the House of Toad, CIC, in Glasgow, each session was a chance for the women to show up for themselves and connect with their inner child in a safe, supportive space, with the opportunity to try new things as well as learn from each other. Over the weeks we had some beautiful sunshine and so the women managed to get outside into Kelvingrove Park as part of the session. During the series we had two special appearances: Jess Brainch, SISU’s Consultant Psychologist, guided a session on somatic breathing techniques and mindful movement, and Megan Adams, a guest artist, in to do a creative mark making session.

This cohort of women welcomed each other with care and compassion, creating a sense of community during and outside of the series. Many of them invited their friends along after they’d been to their first session which reflects the joy and value each woman found from engaging in the SISU programme. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it such a great experience!

As a continuation of their SISU journey, each participant was guaranteed a spot at our immersive, transformative, and fully funded Spring Retreat in Arrochar. Discover how our Spring Retreat unfolded in Past Events!

" It was amazing. I would say it allowed me to let loose, connect with my inner child, try new things and not care. It wasn’t about being perfect or having things down, it was about showing up and being held by just being, existing! Thanks so much for it."

" [SISU] allowed me to access a workshop series with classes and lessons that I’m not able to otherwise do. It has felt like a privilege but also taught me that I deserve things like this. I can and should take up space. Definitely feel the growth already!  "

" The workshops gave me something to look forward to each week, I’m gutted the session is over and so unbelievably grateful for teaching me all that you have! Hoping we all get to cross paths again asap. "
