SISU X Money Ready

Financial Empowerment Panel Event

Thursday 13th November

Arrival: 5.30 - 6pm | Event: 6 - 7.45pm

ARC, 11 Chapel Lane, Glasgow G11 6EW

Our panel event with Money Ready was more than an opportunity to network - we created a brave, compassionate and transparent space to explore financial and female experiences.

We had three inspirational women leaders in financial inclusion, gender budgeting and the financial sector join us to share their insights, experiences and expertise on opportunities relevant to young women today.

Together, we discussed the importance of having self-belief and confidence in our own ability, as well as naming and acknowledging the systemic barriers women continually face. We left feeling uplifted, empowered, and ready to keep the conversation going.

Thank you so much to Fiona, Carmen, and Lizzy for sharing their insights and expertise, and to Kav and Jen for facilitating.

If you couldn’t make it on the night, don’t worry - we’ll be sharing a recording soon!

“I felt motivated and inspired from hearing the speakers stories, and also supported with how they discussed the systemic and cultural issues women face”

“I enjoyed the breadth of experience the speakers had, and how open and honest the conversations were!”

“There needs to be more acknowledgment of the double/triple burden women face with juggling work and care responsibilities, and celebration and support for just how many different plates women spin with no complaint.”
